Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy
MastiGuru respects the intellectual property rights of creators, authors, and rights-holders. This policy outlines our copyright compliance frameworks, licensing models, takedown notice procedures, and repeat-infringer sanctions.
1. Ownership of Creator Works
Creators retain full ownership and copyright of the original articles, text, images, and multimedia content they create and publish on MastiGuru. When you publish content on MastiGuru, you grant the platform a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, cache, distribute, index, format, and display your work across platform channels in accordance with your chosen distribution settings.
2. Prohibited Infringement & Originality
You must only publish content, images, and audio/video materials that you created yourself, or for which you have secured explicit written licenses, permissions, or that qualify under recognized fair use doctrines. Plagiarism, unauthorized copying, scraping, publishing unlicensed stock imagery, or distributing proprietary media without authorization is strictly prohibited.
3. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Notices
If you believe that content hosted on MastiGuru infringes your copyright, you or your authorized agent may submit a formal DMCA takedown notification. To be legally effective, the notice must include: (a) physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or agent; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (c) precise URL or location of the infringing material on MastiGuru; (d) contact details including address, telephone number, and email; (e) a good-faith statement that the disputed use is unauthorized; and (f) a penalty-of-perjury statement that the notice information is accurate.
4. Counter-Notices & Dispute Resolution
If your content was removed or disabled due to a copyright notice and you believe this was in error or due to misidentification (e.g., fair use, public domain, or valid license), you may file a formal DMCA counter-notice. Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, MastiGuru forwards it to the original claimant. Unless the claimant files a court action seeking a restraining order within 10 to 14 business days, the restricted content may be restored in accordance with statutory guidelines.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy & Graduated Strikes
MastiGuru enforces a strict graduated copyright strike system. Accounts receiving substantiated copyright infringement claims receive formal strikes. Accumulation of multiple strikes results in escalating sanctions, including temporary suspension of publishing privileges, forfeiture of creator monetization eligibility, and permanent termination of the user account and associated profiles.
6. Trademark & Brand Asset Protection
Use of third-party company names, logos, product trademarks, and service marks must not mislead readers, create confusion regarding sponsorship or affiliation, or disparage legitimate rights-holders. Trademark disputes are investigated and handled under applicable trademark principles.
7. Statutory Notice & Owner Confirmation
[Notice: This policy is a platform operational directive and must be confirmed by the platform owner alongside registered DMCA agent designation with relevant statutory copyright offices before formal legal finality. For DMCA notices or rights inquiries, contact support@mastiguru.com.]
